Stephen L. Hawk, Ph.D.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hawk was a founding partner in the firm and has more than 35 years of investment experience.  He holds a BBA, MBA and Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.  Prior to joining the firm, he was a professor and Chairman of the Department of Finance at the University of Wisconsin.

Daniel T. Murphy, CFA
Chief Investment Officer & Portfolio Manager

Mr. Murphy has been at Northern Capital since 1995 and has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry.  He holds a BBA and MBA from the University of Wisconsin and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.  Prior to joining the firm, he was a senior investment analyst at Brinson Partners (UBS Brinson).

Brian A. Hellmer, CFA
Director of Research and Portfolio Manager

Mr. Hellmer has been managing portfolios at Northern Capital since 1996 and has over 20 years of investment industry experience.  He holds a BBA and MS from the University of Wisconsin and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.  Prior to joining the firm, he was a senior investment analyst and strategist at Fleet Investment Advisors (Banc of America).

Paul A. Perry
Director of Account Management

Mr. Perry has been with Northern Capital since 1994 and has over 20 years of experience in the investment industry.  He holds a MA (Economics) and a JD from the University of Nebraska and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.  Prior to joining the firm, he was vice president of trust for Associated BancCorp and an economist for First Interstate Bank of Arizona.
