Diversified Equity A core equity portfolio is constructed from Northern Capital's mid-cap and large-cap growth equity portfolios. The holdings are further diversified both internationally and across equity segments (small-cap and more value oriented equities) by purchasing exchange traded funds (ETFs) along with occasional investments in commodities and alternative investments. Diversified Balanced The primary objective of our balanced portfolios is to provide the maximum return attainable from a portfolio of stocks, bonds, and cash equivalents within defined asset allocation and risk parameters. The portfolio is constructed from a combination of our diversified equity and fixed income portfolios. Select Growth This is primarily a large-cap growth equity portfolio comprised of 30-35 growth stocks with an emphasis on quality, competitive advantage and above average earnings growth prospects. Mid-Cap Growth The mid-cap growth portfolio seeks to gain exposure to up and coming growth companies with strong organic earnings growth and improving competitive positions. The portfolios typically hold 50-60 stocks with market capitalizations of $1 billion to $20 billion. Fixed Income The fixed income portfolios are designed for capital preservation and income and invest in government, corporate, municipal and inflation protected bonds along with the selective use of fixed income ETFs.
